Our Art Fridays continues again this Autumn!
Being creative, is the perfect way for children to unwind after a busy week at school or kindergarten. In our Art club we explore various techniques and materials and the world of three dimensional art: The children will get to experiment working with: wood, clay, paper, recycling materials etc. but also we’ll have painting sessions every once in a while depending of the theme that we are working on.
Age: This club is suitable for children from 5+ to 10
When: Every Friday. First term: August 23rd to September 27th. 16:15-17:45 (SIS and Erlenmatt Schule pick up at 16:00).
Class Dates: Aug 20th, 27th, September 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th 6 sessions

Maximum 8 children
Create body awareness and strength as well as a calm focused mind through yoga activities designed especially for kids. Our classes include yoga games, dance, songs, acro balance, human pyramids and various ways for kids to access the benefits of yoga in a fun and playful way.
Saturday forest walks continues in August
Join our fun and adventurous forest walks this Autumn. Once a month we will make a 4 hour walk to one of the forest areas in Basel region. Allschwil Forest will be our destination for the first 2 excursions in this Autumn.
In the forest, we will hike through the beautiful forest, learn important facts about the forest, play games and cook our lunch in the open fire.
These excursions are suitable for children from 5 years up. Younger children can join with a parent/guardian.

Ages: 5 up
Enjoy a walk through the woods after a school day and cook a forest snack by the open fire. Learn some important age appropriate skills through various practical tasks such as making fire, building dens, cooking etc. Always a planned activity linked to a seasonal theme but most importantly great fun playing and exploring the woods!

MUSIC & MOVEMENT!
During this energetic Thursday afternoon club, the children will sing traditional children’s songs linked to seasonal themes and learn many new ones. They will have opportunity to play with large variety of simple instruments including tambourines, maracas, triangles and different types of drums.
During the dance and movement part of the class, children will work on coordination, balance, flexibility, strength, spatial awareness and positive body image through fantasy play and games.

Adult cooking course
Course leader: Kelly Seiders
Dates: Sept 3, 10, 17, 24
Let’s make brunch! Brunch will be the first thing we make in the first part of this cooking series. Maple pecan scones, egg cups, fruit salad and mimosa’s are a few of the items we will make. The following week will be salads chicken salad, quinoa salad and broccoli salad will feature in this weeks food exploration. Week 3 will feature stir fry- broccoli chicken and one I have tweaked to make my own. Week 4 will be breads banana bread and yeast breads or rolls will see us to the end of this first series. Come learn new recipes, hone your cooking skills or even to socialize it will be a fun time.
